To make sure our forest feels Swedish, we are careful to note the details of our surroundings. In our various chats, our team has collected hundreds of nature photographs. Very often during our concepting we said stuff like "We need to make this old rotting log i saw, I have taken 11 pictures of it and it's very important to me".

During the concepting phase, we all dreamt of leaves and hunting towers and wooden planks and pine cones for several months. Some of those dreams were nightmares. Some of us may never recover enough to take a peaceful stroll in the forest again.

We have experimented with not only what parts of nature we wanted to include, but also the level of stylizing we wanted. Our aim is for a careful balance between realism and geometry. The general shape of a scene is as important as the 3D assets themselves. For how we stylize, we are very inspired by the amazing game Somerville by Jumpship, and the game Inside by Playdead.

Not only do we want people from Scandinavia to be able to recognize details of our nature, we also want to introduce it to those who may have never seen it. We have therefore used traditional Swedish art from John Bauer as inspiration for certain forest areas, and the childhood homes of several of our team members. Maybe you'll recognize your own house. Don't worry, we removed your name from the mail box.

Through our art, we hope to provide the players with an immersive experience in the Nordic landscape.
